BioLisa Isenberg

Lisa Isenberg is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pediatric Medicine and Mental Health Care for children and adults. Lisa practices comprehensively and holistically looking at the whole person, including brief psychotherapy and prescribing mental health medications if indicated.

Lisa graduated from the University of Missouri- St. Louis with her Masters in Nursing in 2010, her Doctorate in Nursing in 2013, and her post-Masters in Psychiatric Mental Health in 2022.

Lisa grew up in Missouri, where she initially practiced in the inpatient and outpatient urban community settings. Lisa and her family relocated to Durango, Colorado in 2010. She has spent the last ten years practicing pediatric primary health and mental health in rural areas of SW Colorado. Recognizing the great need in our rural area, Lisa has transitioned her focus to outpatient mental health evaluations, medications and support for children, adolescents and adults in Bayfield, Colorado.

She is an adjunct faculty professor at Maryville University, teaching in their Nursing graduate degree program.

Lisa is interested in the prevention and treatment of mental illness. She works closely with other professionals in the community to support the client and the family. She has been an active member of her community, serving on local boards and working with the local school districts to advocate for kids and help them succeed by staying in school with support.
